Adventure. That's what is necessary. Excitement. Last week Emily and I climbed in Joshua Tree with some new friends we made while camping there. It was Emily's first time ever on ropes, and my first time in months. It was awesome. Pushing our limits and doing something new is exactly what we needed. The exhaustion and satisfaction that comes at the end of a tough day of climbing (or anything, for that matter) is priceless.
We had a good time in San Diego, then headed north up the coast. We have spent recent days swimming in the ocean, playing catch on the beach, watching whales and dolphins play, and enjoying the company of friends, new and old. We camped ON the beach last night. In the sand. It doesn't get better than that.
Tomorrow we'll surf, another new experience. Sorry for the lack of posting recently, but we're back in our groove. Emily is buying fresh fruit at a California berry stand, and then we're off to the beach for a day of boogie boarding and naps in the sand. Loving the coast. Living each day to the fullest. Being out there.
